The Field Collage - Aaron Kane

I took many photos of the field at Fishers Island School at different angles. I then pasted the photos together so they looked like one big photo.

Sunset!

My name is Shelby, and I created a Sunset for a class project.
1. I started off by blending a pink and orange rectangle together, and I did the same with the blue for the water.
2. Next I made a boat. I used the beizer tool to create the boat, and I decided to go with light colors so my sunset would pop.
3. Then I made a circle for the sun. I sent it behind the blue rectangle, so it looks like it is setting. I used the gradient tool to blend the sun into the background.
4. Next I made a bird using the artistic media tool, and I copy and pasted it three times, and made the birds all different sizes and rotations.
5. The last step I did was I created different size rocks, and used the gradient tool to change the color of the rocks. I plied them in a cluster, just like you would see on the shoreline of the beach.
6. The very last step was to create my name with the artistic media tool.

Olo people,
My name is Ellie, and this week I worked on a sunrise over a body of water. I worked on the boat first, I used the shape tool a lot to create the shape. To do the reflection I used the mirror process to drag a copy down and then used the transparency tool make it look transparent. After I had made the boat I went onto the bird, I used the bezier tool to make the shape and then perfected it.Then i worked on the sky and water. I used to rectangles for each and then used the blend tool to make it look more like a sunset. The sun was next. I used the same technique for that, just making two circles and using the blend tool to make it blend. The hardest part of this was the reflection of the sun. It took me a long time to figure out who to do it, there were many different options for it. Finally I ended up just stacking circles. And that is how this wonderful picture came together.

Sophie's Super Sunset

In this picture above, I created a sunset on water including two sail boats and three birds. First, I created  my boats; I used the shape tool, the sail is two triangles and the bottom is an upside down trapezoid. Then I used the mirror process and the transparency tool to created the reflection of the boat in the water. Next came the birds, I used the artistic media too and created various "M" shapes and then I chose my favorites and interested them into the picture. For the background I blended pink and yellow for the sky and a light blue and green for the water.  The sun, I used a gradient fill and used the colors orange and pink. For the suns reflection I used the same process as before for the boat. And that was it!

Grace-Sunset Project

This is my most recent project, the sunset assignment. This picture, although it looks simple, is very complicated and took a lot of time. Below are the steps I took to make this piece.

  • First, I made for rectangles for the background. The upper two rectangles were blended together to make the sky, and the lower two were blended to make the water.
  • Then, I created my sailboat. I used the bezier tool to create the sails, posts, base, and wood pattern for my boat. Then I duplicated my boat and used the mirror process and transparency tool to make the reflection of my boat to put on top of the water.
  • Then, I used the creative media tool to make my birds.
  • Then, I used the circle tool to make my moon shape and its craters.
  • After, I replicated my moon, created several elipses, and then changed their size to look like the moon was truly being reflected on the water.
  • Then, I created the tentacles of my sea monster. I used the creative media tool to create the arms and the suction cups.

And that is how I created this piece!

Sunset

To create this scene I started by creating the boat by using the bezier tool and artistic media tool to make an outline and graphics. After that i set it to the side and made my birds with the artistic media tool by just drawing them. Then i set them aside and made the sunset colors by making 4 rectangles 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom each with a different color and blended the top rectangles then blended the bottom rectangles. When that was done i had to make the sun and its reflection. The sun is and circle with a gradient fading to the right and half covered up by the "water". The reflection is just copies of the original sun only smaller and with a transparency to them. The final thing i had to do was add the boat and birds into the picture along with the addition of the wake from the boat which is just the bezier tool with a fill.

Cyr's Beautiful Sky

For my sunset project, I made a sunset over an ocean. I made the sunset by using colored bars and blending them in. I did the same for the ocean. I made the boat by putting different rectangles together. The sun is two circles blended together. I made the reflection of the sun on the water by using artistic media and placing them from biggest to smallest. I made the bird by using different forms of artistic media and grouping them together.

Aarons Portrayal of a Sunset.

This is my depiction of a sunset scene. I used corel draws blend tool to make the sky and water include 2 colors. To make the boat reflection I dragged the boat down at an angle and added transparency. For the sun, I copied the sun and squished it down incrementally and make it smaller. I made the birds using artistic media and the calligraphy tool.

Dear Web people, my name is Ellie and I have created this masterpiece in front of you. To create this work of art was not as hard as one might think. For the food picture I just took apart some clipart of food and put it pack together. For the Ballet picture I simple wrote BALLET and took a leaping girl and grouped it to the T. For the Heart I took a heart shape wrote text and then fit it to the path of the heart. For the teardrop, I made the teardrop shape and fit text to shape inside the shape. Thank you Web people for once again listening to me.
Until next time,
Ellie

Cyr's Rockin' Zoo

In Corel Draw, I was able to make the pictures into different layers and make it appear as though the pictures were attached to the letters. I replaced O in frog with an actual frog, and shaped song lyrics into hearts.
