Music Weekly

This is a project that was fun, because we used many of the tools that are in Corel Draw.  I used the Bezier Tool and the Mesh Fill Tool to make this project.

Fashion Magazine

I created this magazine cover is in CorelDRAW X4. I traced the shoe and shirt but i made everything else. Including the barcode using the barcode tool. I'll post again soon!

Mechanical Science

Our project this time was to design a magazine cover. I used the bezier and text tools to help make this cover. CJT

I used all of my new knowledge to create this magazine cover
I had so much fun doing this one.  I used the bezier tool a lot to make the keyboard and guitar and headphones.  I used pictures off the internet and traced them.

Teen Weekly

In order to make "Teen Weekly" I used the artistic tool for several designs and the bezier tool for the books. For the background, I simply used shapes and organized them in a way that fit the paper.

Travel Poster

The picture shown above is a travel poster for Burma, which is city located in the Middle Eastern area. It is known as Myanman and is a cultural place to relax and enjoy the sun.

New Logo

The picture above shows the old logo of the UGG brand and under it is my version. I used CorelDraw and the bezier tool to creat my design.

Drew's Logo

For this project I chose to re-do the XBOX logo I made the false glare on the disk which is serving as an O with lines and the blend tool.

The Magic School Bus

I recreated his book cover using CorelDRAW X4. I used many shapes and the bezier tool. I traced Ms. Frizzle and the school bus but created the girl on my own. I'll post again soon!

Politically Incorrect

I have nothing against Sarah Palin, she was just the first person that came to mind

My Book Cover

This is a new book cover to the book "Snow".  I used many tools such as the bezier tool, the artistic media tool, and the fill tool.

New Logo

This project is a project about designing a new logo for a company.  The idea of this is to make sure that the new logo goes to all the the viewers or consumers. This is a new logo for the Food Network.  I showed what the food network does, they use knives and ladles, and they also cook food.  That is why I included the donuts.  I made this by finding a few clip art pictures and tracing them and using them to spell the word food.

Jewelry Store Logo

Logo's

Hi guy's, everyone has a brand name or logo in their posession (The North Face is an example). So I redid the LEGO company's logo with the bezier tool. Connor

If You Give A Pig A Party

For this assignment, I re-created the original book cover. I re-created it by using the Bezier, Blending, and shape tools. For the title, I used the text tool and for the balloons, I used the fountain fill in order to mess around with the shading.

Converse Logo

To create the new logo, I used the Bezier tool and the Interactive Blend tool. For the star and letters, I used the Artistic Media tool.

Redesigning a Logo

This my redesigning of the logo for The Dance Extension. The original is a dancer bent in a shape to look like a D. (See top of post for original) My recreation of it was made in CorelDRAW 4X using the bezier tool for the ballet shoe and foot and the text options for the D and the words. Using the fit to path method the words follow whatever trail I draw for them. I'll be posting again soon, enjoy!

Golden Retriver Book cover

Here I traced a picture of a puppy. I then used the circle tool to create the sloober and moved the nodes into posistion. Then I created the ball using the circle tool again and and texture fill. I finished by tracing the stick and adding the title.

Sami Creating a Book Cover

Our newest project was to recreate a children book cover.  I did a Dr. Seuss book, it was very colorful so I used the blend tool to incorporate all that color.  I pretty much used every single tool that we have learned so far.  A new tool I used for the text following a path.  I drew a line with the freehand tool then clicked near it to type the title of the book.

Peter Pan Book assignment

Using the blendy tool, the bezier tool, and a helpful dose of creativity, I made this book cover. I think it turned out rather well. -Lauren

Sami's first projects

So, I  used basic shapes to make the face and bow tie.  Then I used the bezier tool to make the afro and used blend to make all the pretty colors.

The bottom picture is the original card.  I scanned it into the computer then used the bezier tool to trace the pieces I wanted then added a few of my own.

Lauren's Stuff

I used the bezier tool to trace and create these two projects.

Margaux's First Projects

The picture above is an example of a specific technique called layering. Each picture is made up of multiple layers of different shapes created by a tool called the "Bezier."
The picture shown below, is a clown and was used with a tool in CoralDraw, the "Bezier" along with the circle and triangle. It is amazing what a person can do with a few shapes and an imagination.

Have you ever just played around with the paint or draw feature on the computer? Or have you just tried making shapes look like objects? Well, here is a fun way to make objects on the CorelDRAW program.
Now, can you guess what this clown is made of? If you guessed shapes…. well that much is obvious, but the shapes are on top of another, a technique known as layering, its handy when trying to make three dimensional or highly detailed objects. By using premade shapes and simply using the shape tool, you can really design some neat artwork (tip: if you don’t want outlines on something, just go to the outline button and hit no outline)

So what if you have a really cool design or picture and want to alter it, what do you do? You can trace it! “gasp!, is this possible?” Why yes it is, just by using the Bezier tool. When you use the Bezier tool, you can use other features such as the shape tool to change how it looks. All you have to do is use the Bezier tool to outline the the shape (just remember that wherever you began, you also have to finish!)
See, you can even color the image just by using the fill button, and the best part is, you can even color the image however you want!

I hope these tips might help you

Drew.s Clown and Warren

In this picture we had to create a clown the face, cheeks nose, eyes, and rim of the hat were made using the circle tool. Everything else was created using the bezier tool except for the bow tie which was made using a rectangle tool, however I manipulated the nodes, duplicated the shape and blended a smaller black bow tie and a larger red one.

This gorilla piece was originally a Far Side piece which was scanned into the computer. Then the bezier tool was used again and the legs, chest, body, face, and arms were traced as well as the tree. I then filled the shapes.

The first two assignments in Junior Year

To create this clown above, I had to use the Ellipse Tool, which is a tool to make circular shapes.  Then we had to just make what you think a clown looks like, and this is what I came up with.  For the bowtie, I used the Ellipse Tool to make an oval, and then I used the Shape Tool, which modifies shapes and figures using the nodes of the shape. You can also add nodes to the shapes as well.  For the hair and the eyebrows, I used the Bezier Tool, which makes lines that can connect and then fill them.  I used the same shape for the both, then I used the Blend Tool, to mix the colors.

For this project, I used a birthday card to find a picture that I wanted to recreate.  This was my favorite projects so far.  This took me a long time to do.  This project was done with the Bezier Tool and creating many layers.

Tracing

For this assignment, we chose an image from a card and imported it into CorelDraw. From there, we played around with the different layers and used the bezier tool to make our own copy of the original image.

First Projects

The frog was off a greeting card and using the beizer tool in CorelDRAW 4X I traced it. There are many layers making up the frog and each one holds a small part of the total picture.

This clown was also created in CorelDRAW 4X. Using the shape and blending tools I made him. I'll be posting again soon, so stay close!
