Digital Photography Project

 I used a picture from an outside source and a picture of myself to create this picture. I used the "blur effect" in Corel Photo-paint to tranform the image from the orginal boring one to a motion like picture.

 I created a post card using an outside source for my background picture and a picture of Connor and myself throwing a frizbee. Using Corel Photo-paint, i cropped myself and Connor and added the cropped picture to the background image.

When Pancakes Go Bad is a book filled with silly images that are transformed from an oprignal picture to make it unique. I found the idea, "size does matter" from the book and used Corel Photo-paint to crop the image of the ape into the background picture.

Digital Assessment

Assignment 1: I took a photo of myself, copy and pasted it three times and then using the channel mixture, created three different colors out of the original one.



Assignment 2: For this project, I had to make myself look like I was looking through a divers mask, into water. So, using masking tools, i made the mask stand by itself and then using the cutout lab, fit a picture of the water scene into the lens of the mask.



 Assignment 3: I took a photo of myself and then brought myself into the backround using masking tools. From there, I used the blur effect to make myself look like I was jumping off the rock.

 Assignment 4: The goal was to create a postcard from a place of our choice and put ourselves into it. I found the main pictures using a CD and then put the picture of myself into it using cutout lab and then bringing myself into the picture.

Assignment 5: We had to base our creation off of one from the book "When Pancakes Go Bad". I simply took a backround from a CD and used snails from another. I wanted the picture to have a sweet side as well so i made the snails have shells that resembled donuts.  This was done using masking tools and cutout lab.

Multiple Projects

 This picture above is a picture of my, running on a beach.  I used a still picture of me in a running position and a still background.  I added myself into the photo of the beach and used a blur effect to make it look like I was running.

 This is a picture of a diving mask.  I used a picture of fish and input it into the mask.  I cleared out the glass part to have the fish there.

 For this picture, I used a book "When pancakes go bad" to get the idea.  I used a picture of me and made it transparent to have the the "rocky" look.  I also added an embossed effect to have to look of a 3-D picture.

 I used one picture in three different color mixes.  I had a great time doing this project.

This is a postcard that I made.  I added an image of me diving to give the "homemade" effect.

Multiple Projects

For this project we were told to make an object look like it was in motion. I chose a bouncy ball and put it on a mostly solid colored ground. Next I used Corel PhotoPaint X4 to blur the object using the blur effect.

For this project we were supposed to create a postcard. We got to pick a picture of a place and then had to take a picture of ourselves and put it into the picture. And the words "wish you were here." had to appear somewhere on the card.

For this project we had to look in the book When Pancakes Go Bad and take an idea from it, creating our own unique picture. For mine I took a picture of myself and then cropped out my sunglasses and sweatshirt and brought them into the picture of the dog. I fooled around with the sizes and edited them to fit the dog.

For this project we had to create a picture making it from the point of view of a divers mask. I found a picture of stingrays and then used the cut out lab in Corel Photo Paint to crop the picture to just the stingray. Then I brought them into the picture I had created with the mask. Giving the picture and underwater effect.

This was my favorite of the five projects. We were told to find a picture or take one and copy it a few times. Then we played with the channel colors to change the shades of each individual picture. When combined all into one it gives a cool effect. This is a picture I already had and I played with the channels to get each color the way I wanted it.

Digital Assessment

We had to do five completely different projects in corel photo-paint.  This project was called when pancakes go bad.  We had to look in the book When Pancakes go Bad and create our own project from the ideas in the book.  There were lots of pictures of foods mixed with animals instead of the regular food so I made an ice cream bug sundae.I had to cut out all of the bugs and insert them in the ice cream, but the hardest part was getting the bugs to be behind some other parts of the picture.

The next project was to take pictures of myself and mess around with the color channels.  So i made three copies of the same picture of me then changed all the colors of the pictures and made them transparent.

For this project we had to use the blur effect to make something look like it is in motion.  I took a picture of myself then added in a soccer ball in the air.  Then I went to effects to add a blur to the ball to look like I was kicking it.

For this project we had to make a postcard and add ourselves into it.  So I found a picture of the Arc de Triumph and then took a picture of myself then I put a mask around myself and added it to the other picutre.  It took me a while to make myself proportionate to everything else in the picture, that is why I am so small.

For the last project we had to take a picture of a mask and make it look like we were looking through it underwater.  After I added the mask and the water in the background I thought it would look good to have my hand holding the mask so I cut it out and kind of pasted it back to together around the mask.  I also added the fish and rocks at the bottom, and the bubbles I added through the effects tab in corel photo-paint.
